Northglenn, CO — The Northglenn Arts and Humanities Foundation (NAHF) is pleased to announce that NAHF board member and current vice president Kim Shaklee was elected as a Fellow in the American Society of Marine Artists (ASMA) on October 20, 2008. The Society is a national organization comprised of more than 600 fine marine artists. Shaklee is one of only two sculptors to ever be included in the prestigious group of 29 Fellows. Shaklee has served on the NAHF board since 2003. She also co-chairs NAHF’s Art On Parade program.
Shaklee’s works have been shown in national and international exhibitions and are included in collections around the world, including the Smithsonian National Zoo in Washington, D.C.; the Oklahoma City Zoological Gardens, Oklahoma City, OK; Benson Park Sculpture Garden, Loveland, CO, and the newly redesigned Croke Reservoir in Northglenn, CO.
